Posted on May 2, 2022May 2, 2022 by Mature Student

How to create your ideal study environment at home step by step

Posted on March 29, 2022March 29, 2022 by Mature Student

Creating your ideal study environment at home is an extremely important thing to do. It can have a real positive impact on your studies as it did for me. On the other hand, failing to do so can have a negative impact on them. What’s even worse is that you might not even realise it! […]

How to improve your student wellbeing at university

Posted on March 3, 2022March 3, 2022 by Mature Student

In my previous article on student mental health I discussed “less tangible” aspects of student wellbeing, anxiety in particular. I would definitely recommend having a read through that if you are struggling with student mental health and anxiety at university (or when studying in general). However, in this post we will focus more on the […]

how to find a student job

How to find a part time student job, the ultimate guide

Posted on February 22, 2022March 24, 2022 by Mature Student

Finding a part time job as a student is not an easy thing to do and can be frustrating at times. Some students lack work experience to put on their CV; others have some experience but they struggle to find jobs to apply for; many who manage to apply are then rejected or never hear […]

Student mental health & anxiety, look after yourself!

Posted on February 16, 2022March 24, 2022 by Mature Student

In this article I will share some tips on how to take care of your student mental health at university. I find quite funny (and frustrating) how nowadays everybody talks about mental health but does very little about it. Not to even mention those who believe it’s all an excuse! It looks like politics, where […]

Failure at university

How to cope with failure at university exam/assignment

Posted on February 8, 2022March 24, 2022 by Mature Student

Failure at university is always undesired, it can bring you down mentally, ruin your experience, lead to depression, make you think you are not good enough for university; I could continue with the negative aspects of it for the entire post as I am sure you know since you’re reading this. But why failure at […]

In this post I will share the best 3 study methods that helped me get trough university more “smoothly”. Like many other students, I struggled to cope with the university workload. Posted on January 14, 2022March 24, 2022 by Mature Student

LinkedIn is not something new, in fact it was created way back in 2003. As it quickly became the largest professional network on the internet, few questions have come up from the student world. Is LinkedIn useful for students? Should I have a LinkedIn profile as a student? What should I put on my LinkedIn […]

About Me

I’m an “ex mature student”, I started University at 26. Why? I felt stuck in a job I didn’t like and saw no future.

I felt undervalued, unappreciated and obviously underpaid. My life wasn’t going anywhere! I wanted a career change.

I graduated at 30 and and my life has changed completely since then. It’s never too late!

I started this blog anonymously because I am super shy, but I want to help everyone who feels like I felt at that time… YOU CAN DO IT
